What Counts as Custom

Some pieces in a home don’t fall under your standard “two coats and done.”

They need extra prep, extra care, and an understanding that craftsmanship isn’t a shortcut—it’s a promise.

 

These are the items that often take more time, more detail, and sit in the premium tier:

-Custom office spaces: built-ins, desk surrounds, shelving systems, workstation walls

-Metal railings & stair components: specialty primers, enamel finishes, smooth-as-steel results

-Sealed surfaces: water-resistant, stain-resistant, or high-traffic coatings that protect as much as they beautify

-Custom doors: slab doors, panel doors, accent colours, and fine-finish spraying

-Cabinetry & millwork: trim packages, mantles, wainscoting, crown moulding

-Unique surfaces: anything out of the ordinary that needs a painter’s hand but isn’t “standard wall work” If it’s a surface that deserves intention, and won’t survive on a cheap shortcut, we treat it as custom.
